Q&A with Uniting America
What is Uniting America?
Uniting America is a program that encourages people to get involved in their local communities through volunteerism and community service.
Why is community service important?
Service and volunteerism challenge individuals to examine issues facing their communities, and offers them the opportunity to make a change at a local level.
I am a student; can Uniting America help me find a way to spend my summer?
YES! From School of Many Cultures (a cultural food fair) and community gardens, to soccer tournaments and art projects, Uniting America will be working hard in your neighborhood to bring people together in meaningful ways. By helping coordinate these projects, volunteering to teach ESL, or being a youth mentor, you have the power to make your summer volunteerrific!
